HERE COMES THE BLOOM! NO. 1
MIXED MEDIA ON CANVAS
36 X 36
NICHOLAS CONLON,2019
$300
NOTE: The pictures in this try to show the color as best as possible. The front and first picture is of the piece with the wick painted. That is the painting. The other photos are to showcase the color better. They represent the color of the painting. It is a bubble gum pink.
The idea is a bomb as a vase. That's all it's really good for, the flowers on fire, the world on fire, the world as beautiful and ugly. The world as it is in reality. The flowers are still there. The bombs are still here. The world is still here. They co-exist with each other and often in the same room. They are equal as they boom and bloom and only last for a little while. But sometimes flowers make us think forever. Sometimes bombs make us think forever. They are nearly the same. They are on different sides of the same spectrum. There is beauty in both of them. But their meanings have such stark contrast. Bombs and flowers, HERE COMES THE BLOOM... Here comes the BOOM! A bomb as a vase, that's all it's really good for… Nicholas Conlon
