MIXED MEDIA, CANVAS,
NICHOLAS CONLON, 2018
This is my subtle response to the truth about me and art and the influx of social media. I see there is a trend I see there is a movement. So I will slip in through the back make the exchange and walk away slow and sweet. I am nice. I am here. I am the greatest me in the world.
My sweet, sweet Richie. You’re not the only one for me. I’ve looked and looked and looked. It took me barely a day to see it’s all the other boys that stole my heart. There’s no more style. I’ll name them all if need be. Hooligans with beer muscles screaming about City and not United. 3-2 my better half. What a second go... The drugs don’t scare me so. Oh the hooligans and their third world Nikes. Their witty replies and comedy. I love them so. Love Actually and Sexy Beast. They’re YOU ARE breaking the wrong boy’s heart. Because truth be told. When the boys cut my ankle jewelry. I’ll snap you with my shoulders of boredom. I’m anxious and giddy just thinking/writing about it. My finger is shaking. Maybe it’s last nights pushups I’ve been scared into doing. Or maybe it’s my love and constitution. I’ll find out soon enough. We’ll all find out soon enough. My sweet sweet Richie C. 1, Class my boy. Class.
