WINTER, DO YOU REMEMBER THE ORB
18 X 24
MIXED MEDIA ON CANVAS
NICHOLAS CONLON, 2019
This is a work done on top of another painting. That painting had to go just like the seasons go...They change, we change, life changes. When I was younger I used to love this song by The Orb; "Fluffy Clouds" not to crazy about it anymore. Just like that painting, I'm not too crazy about it anymore. To tell you... It was a rudamentury painting of the President of the USA's Helicopter taking off from a gold floor/helipad ground, whatever! It was dumb and it needed to go... This painting means so much more to me now. It's clouds that move, that come and go that will always be here and will always go away... The pink one in the painting represents the sunset and the color it makes the clouds sometimes... The grey ones are life changing and the white fluffy ones are the beauty we see in the world. All the clouds hold a little water and most of them are letting it go. Sometimes we have to let go... Winter, Do you remember The Orb? - Nicholas Conlon for Nicknickers. Ironic. Idiotic. Iconic. You will never be the same.
