They painted their faces white to go into battle. Ironically they often fought the white man(PALE FACE), from taking their land and killing their people. Most importantly we must understand that they are not "Indian." They are Natives of this land. The land of the free and the home of the brave. I am talking about the Iroquois, Cherokee, Illinoian, Hopi and Dakota and so many more... Far, far away from India, I want to say, they are my people.
